"Is Developmental Editing Really Necessary?"

Hi everyone,

I’m new to the publishing process and keep hearing about developmental editing. Is it really necessary, or can I go straight to copyediting?

My manuscript feels complete to me, but I worry I might be missing structural issues. I’ve come across Barter. Books Publishers, and they offer all kinds of top Book Editing services. Should I go with their developmental editing or start with a lighter edit?
